Here’s a little bit about me and my jewelry.
My name is Brianna Blaney, I’m 25 years old and I officially started up this little business of mine ten years ago (this month actually.) I’ve always loved making jewelry, which is a little strange since I was the tomboy of the neighborhood. I actually started messing around with beads when I was about 8 years old, and sold my first necklace off my neck in a grocery store when I was 13. My mom immediately marched me over to the bank where I opened up a checking account, and I was hooked. At first I surrounded myself with books and magazine articles, but soon I found myself changing every pattern and eventually ditching them all for my own designs. By age 21 I had two people helping me sell jewelry to over 40 stores, salons, etc. along the east coast (a few pieces actually found their way all the way to Hawaii) and I was very active in the art show & home party scene. Due to some unfortunate personal circumstances (a real jerk) I had to move across the country and I lost my entire business. I’ve tried to start it up several times since, but for one reason or another I’ve always given up because, quite honestly, its tough. So, here I am, 4 years later, making another attempt to get this dream of mine going.
To me, making jewelry is therapy. Nothing completes me like a mess of beads, wire, metal and tools. I do believe that I have a God-given talent, and although it can be a little frustrating at times, I’m determined to follow it through. I absolutely love seeing people try on my pieces and find joy and connections with them. I name each necklace because to me, each one has an identity and meaning behind it, just like all of us. I am completely and thoroughly passionate about my jewelry, and I can’t put into words the blood, sweat, and tears (literally) that I’ve put into the jewelry as a whole. If you explore the site a little bit you’ll find that I offer guarantees on all of my work and descriptions of what all goes into it as far as materials etc. I ADORE special orders. My favorite thing to do is make a piece to match a specific outfit or personality. Please challenge me, I will make as many pieces as it takes to make you happy, I promise.
